Carl Raida has been with KWLS
since 1987. His experience as an on air personality in radio
began in 1971. He began his career as a DJ for KDEN-Am in
Denver, Colorado and has been with stations in Rapid City,
South Dakota: Windsor, Colorado: Twin Falls, Idaho: and
Waterloo, Iowa markets before finding his home at KWLS in
Pratt. His knowledge and love for music has kept him
interested in radio, and he dazzles our listeners with his
humor, wisdom and knowledge.
Before graduating from the
Columbia School of Broadcasting in 1970, Raida served four
years in the United States Marine Corps achieving the rank
of Corporal E-4 with a position of Assistant Battalion
Administrative Chief at the time he was honorably
discharged.
Carl continuously takes pride
in his work. The Idaho State Broadcasters Association voted
Raida's 10-hour special program "The Top 100 Hits of the
Seventies: as 'Best Entertainment Program of the Year'. That
program aired on KLIX in Twin Falls on New Years Day in
1980.
Today Carl continues to do
what he does best. He is the voice representing our station,
keeping our listeners updated with local information and the
latest weather...while sharing those great musical memories
with the biggest hits of the 50'S, 60'S, and 70's, here on
Superhits 1290....KWLS! |
